Water Activities

Dedicated to sailing crossing the Aegean or the Ionian to discover populated or deserted islands, rich in turquoise waters and hidden beaches. Try diving! Discover the magical depths of the Greek sea between underwater caves and wrecks, submerged rocks and the colorful cliffs of Skiathos, Lefkada, Zakynthos, Santorini and Corfu. If, on the other hand, you are looking for more demanding water adventures in Crete, Rhodes, Karpathos, Kos, Lemnos, Samos and Lesbos, you can instead dedicate yourself to windsurfing and kite-surfing. As for water skiing and wakeboarding, they are excellent along the Athenian Riviera as well as in Paros, Mykonos, Rhodes, Lefkada, Santorini, Chalkidiki and Crete. In Greece the sea is life. For sea lovers, Greece is one of the most popular European destinations, in fact the whole country offers beaches of fine golden sand, natural green environments, reminiscent of Caribbean areas. Every traveler who stays in Greece cannot fail to enjoy a cruise on a schooner, or a catamaran, which takes you to the discovery of places that are normally unreachable and often hidden among the inlets from the coast. The last few years, especially in the islands, you can be fishermen for a day, experiencing the thrill of fishing on a fishing boat with professionals, and of course tasting a bbq on board.

Mountain Activities

As mentioned earlier, Greece offers all kinds of natural environments. We move to the mountains, here we go to discover another type of Greek beauty: high and remote peaks, vertical slopes, gorges with many waterfalls, rivers, lakes, forests crossed by countless paths. In Kalymnos you will find one of the best climbing sites in the world, while in Crete you can go hiking in Samaria, the longest gorge in Europe. There are also endless options for trekking: from Olympus, the mountain of the gods, to the heights of Meteora; from the paths of the European network that cross the country from north to south to the ancient roads of the Roman Empire in Epirus; from the paths immersed in the Pelio forests to the mule tracks of the islands: each road will leave an indelible memory inside you. If, on the other hand, you love mountain biking, you will find splendid routes located even in more remote places, where you can fully enjoy contact with nature. Every season in Greece is a harbinger of exciting activities: in winter the ski resorts of Parnassus, Kalavryta, Evrytania and Vasilitsa (near Grevena) will test your skills as a downhill skier, while in summer the snow melts into the water and flows abundantly along the Lousios, Acheloos, Pineios and Voidomatis rivers, making them ideal for rafting.

Although Greece has plenty of conditions favourable for surfing, including winding shores, natural currents and safe seas, surfing is not common here. Both windsurfing and kitesurfing are definitely more popular, although in recent years, a rise in surfing clubs across the islands have been noted, thanks to frequent summer winds, called Meltemia, blowing from north east. The top surfing spots you can find in Greece are Tinos, Lemnos, Ikaria, Karpathos, Messinia, Kos & Crete.
